LA FIESTA DE LOS TOROS, LA FIESTA BRAVA.-
The Mexican Cultural Center of Northern California, is pleased
to present to the Sacramento community a pictorial and graphic exhibit
entitled “La Fiesta de los Toros, La Fiesta Brava” by Arturo Cortes and
Francisco Romero.
Arturo Cortes “El Tico” is a bullfighting photographer since 1982, he also being photo
correspondent for Revista Matador in Mexico City and for the newspaper
Frontera in Tijuana, Mexico. He is currently active in freelance
bullfighting photography in California, Mexico and Spain.
Francisco Romero uses the photographic camera to capture and show moments that happen
only once. He studied photography at California State University,
Sacramento; he has always been interested in bullfighting world, the
superstitions, and the contrasts and the dramatic moments that happen
inside and outside the bullring.
This exhibit will be
showcased at the Octavio Paz Gallery at the Mexican Cultural Center
located at 1010 8th Street, Suite 101 From November 10 through December
1, 2007.
Gallery hours are from Monday through Friday from 8.30 to 2 PM.
